My thoughts and review on Growth Hacker Marketing: A Primer on the Future of PR, Marketing, and Advertising (not yet completed reading)
I’ve actually been studying a lot about marketing lately. I just found out that Ryan Holiday wrote two books on marketing. And I’m doing the first one that I have access to right now — Growth Hacker Marketing: A Primer on the Future of PR, Marketing, and Advertising
I have not finished it yet but it’s really interesting book and I didn’t know this but he used to be one of the head marketers at the company called American Apparel.
I really admire him for his Daily Stoic website and it’s something that truly has been inspirational to me ever since it wasintroduced me to it. Even though I have only been on it since the summer (perhaps late summer — even a month or two) of 2021.
This is a whole new dimension to Ryan Holiday.
I’m really happy that I was introduced to this because system of doing things. I think it also exemplifies his writing style quite a bit.
I also noticed that there’s some similarities between his videos and what he writes about and also his marketing practices because I think he does a really good job at doing this affectively and efficiently in a really remarkable way.
I’d be curious to hear what other marketing executives have to say about this because he truly knows how to handle himself in a marketing sphere.
This is something that I’m going to continue to reference and think about quite a bit because I think he really has some interesting insights into not just marketing for specific things but marketing for many different things. He also has quite a few insights on marketing for books which perhaps speaks to success and how much he has been able to market his own books that he writes.
