Why are we constantly listening to Christmas music from the 40s-50s only once a year? A Postmodern Analysis

Post modernity involved the cessation of the passage of time.

When we observe images, it’s as if time dilation occurs. Once photography and video recording came in, things seemed closer.

Why does a photograph/ daguerreotype of Andrew Jackson seem closer to us than a painting of Napoleon — despite the two men being close in age? Because of the post modern effect of photograph and recording. It allows us to instantly access memories that were exactly the same as when we previously had them.
